Camp Ivydale began in 1957 with land donated by Ivan and Dallas Harris who Ivydale was named after. There was no lodge or cabins during the first few years of camp with everyone sleeping in tents and cooking outdoors. The original lodge was built in the 1960s and was torn down in 2019 to begin construction on the new lodge. Over the years, the camp has grown to include 13 cabins (with more on the way), a new three-part lodge, an inground pool with a separate restroom, speakers cabin, a new girl's bathroom, and a shop. We began work on phase 2 of the lodge at the beginning of 2020 and are projected to complete this phase in the Spring of 2021. Phase 3 is scheduled to start Fall of 2021. During 2020 we also tore down Cabin 1 and replaced it with a duplex cabin. Camp Ivydale has served thousands of people and brought many more to Christ in the more than 60 years it has existed. Friendships have been formed in just one week that last a lifetime. Between classes, singing, skits, small groups, and more, Ivydale has been and will be a home away from home for many people. Ivydale is the place to get away from the distractions of life and take a moment to breathe in the fresh air of the woods in Idaho City, Idaho.
